How to use a Cursor referral code (there is no coupon box)

People type “Cursor coupon code” into Google and expect a box at checkout. Cursor does not work that way.

A referral is a URL: https://www.cursor.com/referral?code=YOURCODE. Open it, create a new account, then look at the plan screen. If Cursor has an invite offer attached to that code, it is already applied. If they do not, you still signed up on the official site — you were not sent through a fake coupon funnel.

How to use the code on this site

1. Go to the homepage.
2. Copy the referral code, or open the referral link in a new tab.
3. Sign up with a fresh email.
4. Check Cursor’s checkout. Do not hunt for a promo field.

If you already pay for Cursor, this invite will not retrofit a discount. Use yearly billing or student pricing on Cursor’s own pages instead.
